Poole Wins Hopkins County Fair Talent Show

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (8/2/15) – The culmination of the Hopkins County Fair took place Saturday night in the Garden Hall of the Ballard Convention Center with the WFMW Talent Show.

Hopkins County showcased an array of talent at the annual event the crowd clapped to the beat of the music, cheered and sometimes yelled for the act of their choice.

Host Danny Kober said the talent show had been part of the Hopkins County Fair since some time in the 70’s.  

This year, there were 15 acts, and Kober said the judges had a really tough job.

Savana Poole of Nortonville, 18, daughter of Robert and Ruthann Poole won first place and a cash prize of $225.  Poole played the guitar as she sang two songs that she had written.
  
Second place went to Katen Vandiver, third to Jalyn Cotton and fourth to The Limes.
